Motel was spawned of a husband and wife partnership, established over a decade ago in the brand’s UK homeland. Will and Andrea owned a store in Bristol, England that stocked a kooky mix of US Thrift that they chose for its wacky, stylish prints and cuts. Whilst on seasonal buying trips to the States - staying in roadside motel after roadside motel - they realised the ‘workable’ pieces from the bulk bought vintage deals weren’t cutting it anymore. It dawned on them that they should to develop their own collection that could feature the store’s signature vintage prints but in super flattering cuts and colours. MOTEL was born.
